Californian songwriter Launder has roped in a dream team for his nostalgic new cut 'Keep You Close (feat. Soko)'. With DIIV's Zachary Cole Smith on guitar, Day Wave's Jackson Phillips on production duties and, of course, Soko's silky smooth vocals, the second taste from Launder's forthcoming EP Pink Cloud is a breezy trip through nineties nostalgia. Blending droney guitars with bouncing synthesizers and a simple yet effective rhythm section, emphasis is placed on the song's painfully good chorus, which nails that special meeting point between cool and carefree. Launder's lo-fi approach to classic shoegaze is an addictive combination that'll entice you with the promise of summer and leave you wanting more.
